Boston Celtics Dominate in Game 1 vs. Cleveland Cavaliers

The Boston Celtics continued to put on a show in the NBA Playoffs on May 7, 2024, dominating the Cleveland Cavaliers in Game 1 of their Eastern Conference Semifinals matchup.
Jaylen Brown set the tone for the Celtics, scoring 25 points on 10-of-18 shooting. Derrick White also stayed hot from deep, hitting four three-pointers en route to his 18 points.
The Celtics dominated in every facet of the game, shooting 48% from the field to the Cavaliers' 39%. They also outrebounded Cleveland 50-37 and dished out 22 assists to the Cavaliers' 13.
Donovan Mitchell led the Cavaliers with 27 points, but he shot just 9-of-24 from the field. Darius Garland added 18 points and nine assists, but it wasn't enough to keep the Cavaliers in the game.
The Celtics will look to take a 2-0 lead in the series when they host Game 2 on May 9th, 2024.
