Boston wins 120-95, takes 1-0 lead

Jaylen Brown leads Celtics with 32 points

Jaylen Brown and Derrick White combined for 11 three-pointers and scored 32 and 26 points, respectively, as the Boston Celtics beat the Cleveland Cavaliers 120-95 Tuesday night in Game 1 of their Eastern Conference semifinal series.

Jayson Tatum added 23 points and Marcus Smart had 21 for the Celtics, who led by as many as 31 points.

Darius Garland led the Cavaliers with 24 points, while Jarrett Allen added 22 and Caris LeVert had 21.

The Celtics took control of the game in the second quarter, outscoring the Cavaliers 38-17 to take a 62-40 lead at halftime.

The Cavaliers never got closer than 13 points in the second half as the Celtics cruised to the victory.

Game 2 of the series is Thursday night in Cleveland.

The Celtics are now 6-0 in the playoffs, while the Cavaliers are 4-2.
