Apple TV has announced the premiere date for Season 2 of its critically acclaimed espionage thriller, "Tehran." The new season will premiere on Friday, May 6, 2022, and will be available to stream on Apple TV+. The series follows Tamar Niv Sultan as Tamar Rabinyan, a Mossad hacker-agent who goes undercover in Tehran to help rescue a kidnapped Israeli pilot. Season 2 picks up with Tamar in a dire situation, and she must make a difficult decision.

In a recently released trailer for Season 2, Tamar is seen being interrogated by Iranian police after being arrested. She is told that she has two options: either betray her country and work for Iran, or be executed. Tamar is torn between her loyalty to Israel and her desire to survive.

Season 2 of "Tehran" also stars Shaun Toub, Navid Negahban, and Shervin Alenabi. The series is created by Moshe Zonder and Omri Shenhar, and is directed by Daniel Syrkin. The first season of "Tehran" was a critical success, and was nominated for an Emmy Award for Outstanding Drama Series.
